Privacy notice

1. Information we process

• Files you upload. Primarily PPTX files, plus slide images, recognition results, and exported files created during processing. Your original file is never overwritten; the result is saved as a new file.
• Visitor identifiers. No login is required. To prevent abuse, we combine the request IP address with a lightweight browser fingerprint stored locally to generate a hashed visitor ID and enforce configured usage limits. We do not use it for advertising profiles or sell personal data.
• Product usage events. These may include visits, uploads, conversion starts and results, exports, feedback, and before-and-after text edits made on the result page. We use them to understand the product funnel and improve recognition and layout quality.
• Feedback you submit. This includes descriptions sent through file- or slide-level feedback actions.

2. File processing and retention

• Processing purpose. We detect text regions, remove residual text from applicable backgrounds, rebuild editable text boxes, and create a new PPTX for your review and download.
• Projects are retained for about seven days by default. After that period, the server automatically removes the project directory, including the upload, intermediate results, and exports. The exact period may change through server configuration.
• Failed files are not retained as long-term samples by default. We would only extend retention for troubleshooting after providing a separate, explicit consent flow and receiving your active consent.
• Processing limits. File size, page count, and request-frequency limits may apply. Refer to the upload page and live API messages for the current limits.

3. Third-party services

• OCR providers. To recognize text, slide images may be sent to configured OCR providers such as Baidu or Tencent. API credentials remain in server-side environment variables and are not exposed to the browser.
• Provider terms. Third parties process request data under their own privacy policies and service terms. We call them only as needed to provide the product functionality.

4. Cookies and local storage

• Abuse prevention. A local identifier may be used for visitor fingerprinting and usage limits.
• Preferences. Local storage may remember interface preferences such as theme.
• Anonymous analytics. If privacy-focused analytics such as Plausible or Umami are enabled, they collect aggregate traffic data and are not used for advertising tracking.

5. What we do not do

• No required account. The current version lets you process a file without creating an account.
• No sale of deck content. We do not sell your presentation content to third parties for advertising.
• No cross-site ad profiling. We do not use the visitor fingerprint to build cross-site advertising profiles.

6. Your choices and rights

• Long-term samples. Failed files are not placed in a long-term archive by default. If an opt-in option is introduced, you may decline it.
• Local identifiers. You may clear cookies or local storage to reset the identifier on your device, after which current usage limits are recalculated for the new identifier.
• Deletion and questions. Projects are deleted according to the retention policy. To request earlier deletion or ask a privacy question, contact Zhilian Lingdong through the website or in-product feedback channel.

7. Updates to this notice
